Being on the road again is a damn good feeling to visit different lands, wondering carefree (especially from the threat of COVID-19) and exploring new and unique music. This time, the Overlooked Tracks Podcast is on the Magical Music Bus and now is discovering the country of Indonesia, a land of "Unity in Diversity" literally, "many, yet one".  Many cultures, languages and food (if you’re a foodie like me) can be seen, heard and eaten in this great country in South East Asia.  Take a trip to experience it for yourself and along the way, bring your headphones and of course your ears to discover the many vibes Indonesia can bring to your musical soul.
Please Note:  Bump Music was from the following music artists:

The Anime Edition

Sunday May 14, 2023

I was having a conversation with someone and the subject was Japanese animation or simply “anime” and I was learning more about anime from the conversation than I could ever thought of.  I’m a casual fan of the art form and interested in learning more about the fascination and popularity of anime.  Damn, I have a lot to learn because there is SO MUCH to see.  I did however discover the connection between Japanese anime and music – how appropriate because of course this is the Overlooked Tracks podcast - a music podcast.
Come to find out there’s music to be listened and a music genre folks need to pay attention to, especially if they’re big fans of anime and even if you’re not a big fan, the Anison music genre may be a good start for you to learn more about the music and anime. Maybe you can call it “Killing two birds with one stone”.
Please Note:  Bump Music was from the following album and music artist: Album: Eternal Youth / Artist:  Rude.  Please go to the following link to find more music from this artist:

Jazz is being in the Moment

Wednesday Apr 26, 2023

Wednesday Apr 26, 2023

From the words of Herbie Hancock - the jazz maestro himself, being in the moment is the best way to stay in the now, keep your feet set on the present time and just being in peace with yourself and your surroundings.  Just like the words I uttered, the music genre of Jazz can keep your mood stable, because you yourself may understand that life can take you on a trip to confusion and a couple of episodes of “AS THE WORLD TURNS” (if you understand about the so-called phenomenon of the American Soap Opera) comes into play.  This is where Jazz comes in, not with the continuous analyzing of things, but the opposite, the tapping into the mind and finding your simple and your harmony within your spirit.
In order to assist you on that search of tranquility, these four tracks of Jazz will certainly guide you to greatness. Similar to the last episode on mental stability, we will focus on the spirit.

Have you ever had a moment when so many things and events and situations happen all at the same time and you feel overwhelmed to the point where you just freeze and hide in a corner or somewhere so no one can see you?  Well, I don’t know about you but life can really get in the way for you to make progress and continue on with your journey to a good life both in the spiritual sense and the physical form.  This episode of the Overlooked Tracks podcast will focus on the mental.  Mental stability, mental greatness and mental peace just to name a few.  My name is Kenny Chiba and again this is the Overlooked Tracks podcast and we will start episode #47 with a band and a smooth soul singer telling a story of keeping it simple, keeping it special and keeping it pure because life can be rough and it may put you on your ass, but each of us have the power to get back up, dust ourselves off and fight for what you truly believe and love.
